We’re thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Safe Software to create FME connectors that make it possible for you to easily read and write data from Kinetica into and out of FME workspaces.

If you’re a current FME customer, this means you can now move your Esri data into Kinetica so that you can perform real-time analytics of large and streaming datasets and real-time location-based analytics.

If you’re a Kinetica customer, this means you can move data between 350+ formats such as KML, GeoJSON, and OGC WKT, while preserving data quality through the conversion process. FME puts hundreds of powerful transformers at your disposal, so you can easily manipulate data structure and content.

The Kinetica Writer for FME essentially lets you leverage the rendering power of Kinetica to display point and polygon data. Points can even be displayed as heatmaps, symbologies, or tracks. You can easily integrate your data into Kinetica for machine learning and deep learning, OLAP, and advanced location-based analytics.

This technology enables organizations across a multitude of industries to propel their projects forward. For example, one of our customers in the utility space uses Kinetica as an agile layer with 3rd-party data such as Esri ArcGIS data from FME to monitor, manage, and predict infrastructure health. By leveraging both Kinetica and FME data, utilities and other organizations can analyze, model, and ingest multiple data feeds, including location data for their field deployed assets, into a single centralized data store.

If you’re serious about spatial data, you’ll benefit greatly from the combination of Kinetica’s GPU-accelerated database with Safe Software’s FME spatial data transformation technology, which will help you leverage and analyze your streaming data so it can be used exactly where, when, and how it’s needed.
